day 6 of 30
Oftentimes I have an idea in my head that doesn’t translate. Yesterday’s clay piece felt that way for me, so I took the chance to revise it into something else. I might be cheating a bit to call this another piece, but in many ways it is.
While yesterday felt like a setback, I would still like to go back to the original idea another time. I’ve already begun interrogating what went wrong, and am sketching through how it could be better next time.
Unrelated, my partner walked into the workspace recently and saw the works in progress scattered across the floor to dry and told me they looked like the ‘poor unfortunate souls’ from The Little Mermaid. It might just replace the work's previous placeholder name: 'wildly unusable vases’
