If you love looking up at the night sky, this week in August is gonna be awesome! First, on August 8th and 9th, you’ll see the Sturgeon Moon—it’s the last full moon of summer and it’s named after a giant fish. Then just a few days later, on the morning of August 12th, wake up early and look east! You’ll see Jupiter and Venus shining super close together, no telescope needed.
And the same night, the famous Perseid meteor shower will light up the sky! You might not see a hundred shooting stars this year 'cause of the moonlight, but 10 to 20 is still pretty cool, right?
