This comment might be a hot take thought, but here we go. I don’t think there’s such a thing as a bad-sounding snare drum.
Now before you start yelling at me, let me explain.
Sound is subjective to the person listening to it. We all have a preference for what sounds good.
Although, a song is not subjective to anyone. A drum sound is good as long as it serves the music it’s played for.
Unlike in the past, technology with synthetic drum heads, snare wires, and throw-off/butt plates has advanced so much that it’s so easy to upgrade old hardware to modernize a snare drum. This advancement has opened up so many more tonal and genre possibilities.
This concept happens only when you take the step to look into your snare drums yourself and improve the things needed to make them sound fantastic.
Remember, a snare drum can’t make a sound if no one tunes or plays it.
Anyways, have a wonderful day!! Love you, guys! Stay Safe! Okay. Byeeeee.
????????????????❤️✌????
