For the first time, Timor-Leste has an exhibition at the Venice Biennale. Open between April and November, the work by Timor-Leste born, Australian-based artist Maria Madeira confronts the violent history of the Indonesian occupation period in an immersive installation titled ‘Kiss and Don’t Tell.’ Freelance art journalist Tim Stone filmed the exhibition opening last month and sent us this story.
