I love having rebound on the batter side of my snare drum, but I play a lot of worship, ballad, and rock music, so I need a more punchy yet crispy snare sound.
In addition to that, when I tune the better side too low, I shorten the life of the drum because I also play hard
Including these two factors has caused me to experiment with a snare side head to achieve that crispy and beefy snare sound.
This tuning technique allows me to have a tighter batter side drum head and deliver a sound that serves the music.
All of this helps shape a drum’s sound to enhance the player and music that the drum is helping create.
I would love to hear your thoughts. Do you experiment with your snare side drum head, or is it just the batter head? Comment below, and let’s talk about it.
Anyways, have a wonderful day!! I love you guys! Stay Safe! Okay. Byeeeee.
