In this masterclass we’ll briefly discuss how travis picking made its way into rockabilly music and then we’ll look at how to create rhythm guitar parts and improvise solos using travis picking.

Recommended skill level for this masterclass is intermediate.

What’s covered in the Masterclass:

Basic two bar travis picking pattern
Embellishing with hammer-ons, pull-offs and color tones
Connecting chord inversions and adding embellishments
Dom 7th chord inversions
Voice leading chords
Gallop picking
Solo etude incorporating all concepts

PDFs of patterns, chord inversions, embellishments, gallop patterns and solo etude
Backing track
