The Lord calls on us internally and externally. The external call can be seen in the preaching and teaching of Divine Truth.

We often experience Spiritual passivity in our lives in areas we do not want to act according to the Truths we receive from God. It's important we watch out for this passivity.

Our response to the call of the Lord must be spontaneous. We must actively cooperate with the work of the Lord in us 'as if of ourselves' whilst still acknowledging that it is the Lord who works in us towards the development of our spirituality.

In responding to the Lord as if of ourselves, we through the faculty of our freewill choose the Lord's side and take the necessary steps as though it all depended on us while still believing that it's of the Lord that we progress spiritually.
