A. Dvorak Terzetto: in C Major op 74
L.V. Beethoven: Quintet in E flat for piano and winds op 16
Ensemble OKTOS is made up of eight remarkable young Croatian musicians performing a wide-ranging repertoire of great pieces of classical music in intriguing combinations of instruments. Love for chamber music has been bringing them together since the very beginning of their musical education, during the high school days in Osijek and later during their studies at the Music Academy in Zagreb. Now this group has realised the fulfilment of its origins and their love of chamber music in Ensemble OKTOS.
The Ensemble aims to bring chamber music to a wider audience, particularly to young people and perform the most beautiful pieces of the previous centuries in unusual arrangements. All members of OKTOS Ensemble are graduate musicians working in Croatian orchestras, teaching in music schools and at the Music Academy in Zagreb:
Ivana Vukojević-flute, Dunja Čolić-oboe, Emma Štern-clarinet, Matko Smolčić-bassoon, Zvonimir Krpan-violin, Tajana Škorić-viola, Iva Ilakovac-cello and Lovre Marušić-piano. The debut concert of Ensemble OKTOS took place in January 2020 at the chamber music hall of Croatian Music Institute in Zagreb. The group’s plans are focused on performing concerts of classical music, promotion of culture in Croatia and in the future masterclasses and chamber music workshops.
