Ny Antsaly - Fifaliana Ry Lahy

This melody consists of several traditional Malagasy tunes and the most prominent are those entitled "Fifaliana Ry Lahy" and "Ô Rey Fody An'Ala".
These were old popular songs, and were recorded on 78 rpm records for the first time by the Razafimahefa troupe and the Mpilalao of Fenoarivo between the years 1929 and 1931, during their performances of Malagasy music at the Colonial Exhibition in Paris in 1931.
The vast majority of traditional Malagasy folk tunes are short and repetitive. The popular tunes contained in this instrumental piece have been recomposed, connected and mixed and highlights the dialogue between the valiha of Randafison Sylvestre and the guitar of Razafindrakoto Bernard.
This old popular tune was taken up, recomposed, remodeled by the group Ny Antsaly, in 1969 and appearing on their second vinyl 33 rpm album "Folklore de Madagascar", sung and played at the Valiha by Randafison Sylvestre, accompanied by vocals and music. guitar of Razafindrakoto Bernard and by the percussion of the latter's children and sons-in-law

Cette mélodie se compose de plusieurs air traditionnels malgaches et les plus proéminents sont celles intitulées “Fifaliana Ry Lahy” et “O Rey Fody An’Ala”.
Ce furent des chansons populaires anciennes, et ont été enregistrées sur disque 78 tours pour la première fois par la troupe Razafimahefa et les Mpilalao de Fenoarivo entre les années 1929 et 1931, au cours de leurs représentation de la musique malgache lors de l’Exposition Coloniale de Paris de 1931.
La grande majorité des airs populaires traditionnels malgaches sont courts et répétitifs. Les airs populaires contenues dans ce morceau instrumental ont été recomposés, raccordés et mélangés et met en avant le dialogue entre la valiha de Randafison Sylvestre et la guitare de Razafindrakoto Bernard.
Cet air populaire ancien a été repris, recomposé, remodelé par le groupe Ny Antsaly, en 1969 et figurant sur leur second album vinyl 33 tours "Folklore de Madagascar", chanté et joué à la Valiha par Randafison Sylvestre, accompagné du chant et de la guitare de Razafindrakoto Bernard et par les percussions des enfants et gendres de ce dernier.
