Nancy Wilson ~ Every Song A Master Class "The Very Thought Of You" by Ray Noble @LucyShropshire ​

There are no words to express the loss I feel at the passing of Ms. Nancy Wilson. I had the pleasure of working with here at Lincoln Center for The Luther Henderson Benefit Gala. Also in attendance was Rubie Dee and Tamara Tunie who I also had the pleasure to converse with. The event took place only weeks after the passing of Ms Wilson's beloved husband Wiley Burton. I took several photographs with her and managed to hang on to a couple, but the photo's of she and I only were accidentally deleted from the camera I was using at the time. So, she was sitting back stage looking very frail and weak, but when she hit the stage that voice came soaring through...absolutely amazing! I was in the wings watching and listening and just couldn't believe my eyes and my ears. It was like she was 20 years old again when she started singing. BTW, my big brother John Shropshire played trumpet for her back in the day....Nancy Wilson has been a huge part of my life forever and I will miss her being here, but I guarantee you the angels are there with her listening to that master class, RIP Ms. Wilson.
