On the cultural front
K-pop artists won three trophies at this year's MTV Europe Music Awards, also known as the EMAs.
BTS member Jungkook clinched "Best K-pop" and "Best Song" for his solo debut track "Seven," becoming the first Korean solo artist to win two awards at a single EMA.
Boy group TXT was named "Best Push," or best breakthrough artist.
The winners were announced on the EMA website on Sunday, as the awards ceremony was canceled for the first time in 30 years, due to the "devastating events in Israel and Gaza."
