Burna Boy And Rema Get 2020 MTV Ema Nomination

Nigerian artistes Burna Boy and Rema have been nominated in the Best African Act category at the 27th edition of one of the biggest nights in global music, the 2020 MTV EMAs.

These Nigerian acts were nominated in that category alongside Sheebah from Uganda, Gaz Mawete from the Democratic Republic of The Congo, Master KG, Kabza de Small and DJ Maphorisa from South Africa.

Lady Gaga is however leading with the highest nominations this year with seven nods which includes, “Best Artist,” “Best Pop,” and “Best Video” for her duet with Ariana Grande, on “Rain On Me” which also secured a position in the “Best Song” and “Best Collaboration” categories.

BTS and Justin Bieber each received five nods, within categories which includes “Biggest Fans” and “Best Pop.”

Other acts who were nominated in various categories includes, Megan Thee Stallion, Cardi B, The Weekend, Dua Lipa, Katy Perry, Drake, and a host of others.

The 2020 MTV EMAs is scheduled to air globally on MTV in over one hundred and eighty countries on Sunday, November 8, 2020.

Just so you know, Burna Boy won the Best African Act category in the 2019 edition of the MTV EMAs.
