How To Play Modern Day Cowboy By Tesla - Guitar Lesson - Frank Hannon

In this video I demonstrate how to play the song Modern Day Cowboy. Tesla have always been one of myy favorite bands and the album Mechanical Resonance is a masterpiece. The guitar work on the album is excellent and Frank Hannon really demonstrates how great of a player and writer that he is. In this lesson I show all the parts of the song including the guitar solo. I also provide insight in soloing in a minor and how it is the same a C Major. I provide some scale and alternate picking examples as well as performance tips. I hope you enjoy the lesson. Modern Day Cowboy" is the debut single by American rock band Tesla, from the band's debut studio album, Mechanical Resonance. The song's lyrics make references to criminals such as Billy the Kid and Al Capone, until the final verse, which references Cold War tensions between the United States and the Soviet Union.
A music video was produced for the song, which shows Nikola Tesla playing films in an abandoned movie theater. Tesla shows footage of the band performing the song, along with scenes from the movies High Noon, Scarface, and Dr. Strangelove. The beginning of the video shows the theater marquee with the names of all three films with some letters missing, along with the name of the band.
