The third event of our Global Photographies 2021-2022 talks programme, where we heard from Alejandra Niedermaier in conversation with photographers Sarah Pabst and Lilia Pereira.
___
Alejandra Niedermaier is a photographer, teacher and researcher based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She is a member of both the Ibero-American Society for the History of Photography and the Trama & Fondo Cultural Association, and is also a professor at Universidad de Palermo.
Niedermaier spoke with the photographers Sarah Pabst and Lilia Pereira about the close relationship between experience and visual narration. Their images are associated to a bodily experience and a correspondence with identity; they even escape from the entrenched dichotomy between the public and the private.
