Here is the fourth instalment of our 2021 - 2022 Global Photographies Talks Programme! This time, we’ll be hearing from artist Yuxin Jiang and David Bate. Jiang is in conversation with Bate about the experience of translating photography, and her translation of his classic text Photography: The Key Concepts from English into Chinese.
Moderated by Lucy Soutter, the discussion will engage with the challenge of ‘translation' across cultures, coining new terminology and finding ways to articulate photography and concepts that may not have local currency.
