Japan Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a new advisory for additional quarantine procedure to prevent more possible spread of coronavirus from foreign land.

All arrivals in Japan including Japanese citizen starting January 13 needed to submit Negative Covid Test Certificate taken within 72 hours or 3 days upon arrival in Japan.
