The Ludwig Pioneer snare drum was first introduced in 1960 as a lower-priced student drum. However, it quickly became popular with professional drummers due to its warm, full sound. The 3-ply wood duco shell with maple reinforcement rings provides that iconic airy/woody sound from the 1960s. White resocoat interior, 6 lugs, baseball bat muffler. Vintage Ludwig Pioneer snare drums have been highly sought-after by both collectors and players!
