Works every time! (pretty much lol I’ll explain????????)
Every key signature applies to a major key and its relative minor. This trick gives you the major key that it applies to. If you’re interested, I’ll make a future video about how to work out the relative minor so let me know!
Sharps:
Find the last sharp in the key signature, go one semitone up, and that’s the major key! If the final sharp is C#, the key is D major
Flats:
Fine the second to last flat and that’s your major key! So if the flats are Bb Eb Ab, the key is Eb major
This works for every key apart from C major and F major which you’ll just need to memorise ????
Hope this helps!
Let me know if you have any questions & follow for more piano tips! ???? ????
