Last week, a profile of the Tony Award winning actress Patti LuPone was published by the New Yorker in which she made controversial statements about fellow actresses Kecia Lewis and Audra McDonald.

Since then, the Broadway community has responded with an open letter advocating for a greater cultural shift in the theatre industry, punishment for harmful behaviour and championship of diversity.
