How did Olivia Rodrigo get away with stealing songs?
Olivia Rodrigo has been accused multiple times for stealing songs from other artists and it looks like it isn’t stopping anytime soon. Olivia was first confronted by Taylor Swift for sampling Taylor’s music in her song “Deja Vu''. People also speculated Olivia’s hit song “Good 4 You” ripped off Paramore’s track “Misery Business”. You would think after having to pay Swift millions of dollars for the song, Olivia would’ve learned her lesson. But she did it again, and this time it was Olivia’s song “Brutal” that came under fire. People are saying the song is a direct copy of Elvis Costello’s track “Pump it Up”. But unlike Swift, Costello didn’t care that Olivia copied him. He told his upset fans that that’s how rock and roll works, so maybe Olivia is going to catch a break on this one.
