Like any culture, there are many stereotypes about Americans. For example, it is sometimes believed that Americans are workaholics, especially when compared to Europeans. On a more positive note, they’re also perceived to be very friendly and talkative.

But if we look beyond those stereotypes… What do French people really think about Americans, American culture, and the United States in general? It isn’t something that naturally comes up in conversation, so you’ve probably never had the chance to get a real French person’s perspective on this — until now!

In today’s lesson, which is all in French, I’m sharing the truth about what French people really think about Americans (in my experience, anyway). Don’t worry — I’ll speak slowly so that you can practice your comprehension skills. And don’t forget to turn on the subtitles if you need to.
