Wendell Pierce Breaks Character in Broadway Play & Confronts Unruly Guest

Actor Wendell Pierce found himself having to break character and temporarily pause a recent Broadway production of ‘Death of a Salesman’ to address an unruly patron in the front rows.

According to several reports, the audience member began causing a disturbance in the play’s middle act, to the point where security had to be called to escort them out. Cellphone footage from the theater shows Pierce, who plays the lead role of salesman Willy Loman, attempting to calm the individual.

‘He patiently & heroically pleaded with her to leave peacefully despite her insistence that she should be carried out forcefully (she was eventually escorted out by police),’ said one audience member, via Instagram.
