Here’s another experiment I did with these silicone molds of sculptures I carved. I got these really interesting metallic color changing pigments and decided to apply them directly to the molds rather than mixing them into the resin.

The results were a little more splotchy than I hoped for, but I think it gives them an aesthetic similar to watercolors. It feels like there’s an endless amount of ways to make these, trying out different methods opens up a wide range of opportunities and leads to some really unique pieces.

I’ve got dozens of these little sculptures now, and am going to be putting them all on Etsy soon. I wanna make sure there’s a wide variety of styles and colors to pick from, so stay tuned if you’re interested in buying one of these.
