The Crispy Tenders est un trio funk/rock qui distille une musique empreinte des années 70, roots et énergique. Le groupe joue exclusivement des compositions, librement inspirées d’icônes de la funk et du jazz comme les Meters, Jimmy Smith ou bien Grant Green, avec suffisamment place pour l’improvisation. Le combo guitare/orgue/batterie se prêtait parfaitement à une configuration 100% Vox avec les rééditions du mythique Vox Continental, des guitares demi-caisse Bobcat et de l’étonnante batterie Vox Telstar.
