Do you ever play any finger exercises before the actual practice?
If yes, then you are doing the right thing! If not, you really need to start making it a part of your practice routine.
It doesn’t have to be long or complicated. Even a short warm-up goes a long way! The purpose of it is to increase the blood flow into the muscles and joints and prepare the fingers for, usually, more challenging playing.
These are simple warm-ups and are meant to be a starting point to your own exercises you can create. You decide on how many repeats you want to do, you choose a suitable speed, you change up the order of strings etc. Be inventive and have fun with it!
As always, I’m wishing you happy practicing!! ????
