Ugo de Cesare, Italian painter,(b.1950) was born in a small town near Florence. He studied at the Academy of Naples and Florence, and originally wanted to become an art teacher. To obtain his title he had to create an oil painting with which he was awarded his title with distinction.
After teaching for a short time he dedicated himself to painting. He became a full-time artist and soon developed his distinctive and personal style that led to his success.
De Cesare uses techniques that are difficult for most painters because he incorporates the methods of the old Italian masters to create his impressive figurative work.
De Cesare has traveled all over the world exhibiting his artwork. He has won numerous awards in Naples and throughout Europe. He has been invited to participate in numerous traveling art exhibitions and his work is found in public galleries and private collections in Italy and around the world.
