Hello everyone! In this photoshop tutorial video, I'll show you how to turn any photo or object in Photoshop into a stunning metal-like appearance such as gold, silver, or chrome.
Open your chosen photo in Photoshop. Ensure the subject has well-defined edges for better results.
Use the object selection tool to create a precise selection of the subject.
Copy the selection to a new layer.
Add a Solid Color adjustment layer below the subject layer and choose a strong red color for contrast.
Desaturate the subject by going to "Image" - "Adjustments" - "Black & White."
Duplicate the subject layer, change the blending mode to 'Difference,' and invert the colors.
Merge the layers to get a metallic shine.
Duplicate the merged layer, change the blending mode to 'Difference,' and invert the colors again for a chrome effect.
Blur the edges slightly to refine the image.
Add a painterly effect using the oil paint filter or the Smudge Tool.
Apply a Color Lookup Adjustment Layer for a gold appearance. Clip it to the 'Metallic' layer.
Increase contrast for a more striking gold effect.
Add specular highlights on a new layer using the 'Overlay' blend mode.
Use Layer Styles to fine-tune the highlights' appearance.
That's it! Now you can turn any object into gold, silver, or chrome in Photoshop.
