A classic lick with a twist, this is a great trick used by many rock guitarists for adding some tension and spice to a solo without actually having to do anything to fancy having a repeating lick move chromatically up to the next chord is a great way to add some new life to your lead playing as although you're playing a lot of "wrong" notes playing them within a repeated phrase gives them familiarity and allows you to move them around more without sounding like you've gone off the rails! ????????
