Hair is always very important in animations. An example of this is in the Frozen animated series. As you know, Elsa's hair is always tightly gathered at the beginning of the movie, but when she escapes and goes up the mountain, she starts to use her hair in braids while creating her castle.

The reason for this is that Elsa is somewhat liberated and no longer needs to hide her power. In the sequel Frozen 2, this development process is completed and at the end of the movie Elsa appears with completely free hair. Now that uneasy, insecure woman leaves her place to a independent woman who is confident, fearless and at peace with her own power.

As a bonus detail, if you look carefully at the tiny toys made of snow that Elsa and Anna play with in this scene, you can see that they are Dumbo and Baymax.
