The sculptures "Figure - I" and "Figure - II" were created by Stefan Herbst for the global series of works "Chernozem". The sculptor depicted the figures of riders dressed in gas masks: in conditions of high radiation they wander on mutated animals in search of scarce resources necessary to sustain life. These images are inspired by the artist's notions of post-apocalyptic events, which may be closer and more real than we are used to thinking.
