ℹ️ About the Episode: Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park (North Rim) surprised us in the best way. Sometimes Plan B turns out even more memorable than Plan A—and this spontaneous detour proved it.
We based ourselves at Riverbend RV Park in Montrose, Colorado, and made the 90-minute drive out to the less-visited North Rim of Black Canyon. The adventure started with a stop at the North Rim Ranger Station for our National Park Passport stamp, followed by a hike out to Exclamation Point for breathtaking (and a little nerve-racking ????) views. Trish may not have loved Marc getting close to the edge, but the scenery was unforgettable.
From there, we drove the North Rim Scenic Drive and stopped at Big Island, taking in a whole new perspective of this underrated National Park.
???? If you’re planning an RV trip through Colorado or visiting Black Canyon of the Gunnison, don’t skip the North Rim. It’s quieter, wilder, and full of incredible overlooks that most people never see
