I processed some photos in caffenol last week so I could teach it to my students.
I hadn’t done it before but it was super easy, I went renegade with these developer ratios but it still all worked out. It’s a great, sustainable approach to analog photography, particular when paired with pinhole cameras, and works for film photos as well.
They also turned out solarised which looks pretty cool, if anyone knows why? I’m guessing something to do with the fixers reaction to the underdeveloped silver but I’m sure someone knows exactly what’s up.
