The American violinist made her concert debut with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra at the age of nine and was a BBC Radio 3 New Generation Artist from 2008 to 2010. Her recordings of the Ysaÿe solo sonatas and of American music for violin have received considerable attention. Born in Los Angeles in 1982, Derrick Skye describes his duo as ‘serving as an exercise/introduction to many of my other compositions’.
