Summer Festival 1972

Some might say it was the last High Octane Engagement Elvis had at the Hilton Hotel in Las Vegas. Coming off back-to-back stellar tours, both of which were recorded for use in Elvis On Tour and Live At Madison Square Garden respectively. Elvis riding high, decided to set his goal of beating his own personal record of 59 sold-out shows to an astounding 64 shows within the four-week stint. The entire hotel was littered head to toe with Elvis posters, and sellers, the colonel sparing no expense to make sure his star was always the hit of the town. Say what you will but it worked. Elvis had no poor or average shows this time around, only great to atmospheric. Five of these shows were recorded on soundboard, both the dinner and midnight shows of August 11th and 12th, and the Dinner show on September 4th, where over 200 English fan club members traveled to Las Vegas to see their king in action. Within this 3 hour viewing, you'll see the process that led from rehearsals of songs that didn't make the cut to views of Las Vegas from different points of view, the preshow and of course Elvis himself. Nothing left out, all left in, it really was a Summer Festival for all. Enjoy.
