This became the hit that launched Stevie’s solo career. “Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around” almost wasn’t hers ... but it changed everything. Written by Tom Petty and Mike Campbell, originally intended for the Heartbreakers but, Stevie laid her vocals over the band's original recording and transforming it into a gritty duet.
