Slain hip hop artist Kiernan Forbes, known as AKA, will be buried in a private provincial funeral on Saturday. In a statement, his family says a memorial service will be held for Forbes on Friday. AKA and his long-time friend and associate, Tebello Tibz Motsoane, were shot and killed on Friday night outside a restaurant in Durban. At the same time, AKA has been lauded for his passion to help develop young artists. One young musician from the rural town of Steinkopf in the Namakwa District in the Northern Cape says he was mentored by the slain rapper, who also motivated him to continue with his music.
