Sinners is a 2025 American supernatural horror film produced, written, and directed by Ryan Coogler.

This movie was something else! Such an interesting genre-defying masterpiece. We thoroughly enjoyed how it blends Southern Gothic horror, rich musical heritage, and profound cultural commentary. Michael B. Jordan did an amazing job with his powerhouse performance in dual roles as the Smoke and Stack twins! Ryan Coogler's direction is nothing short of visionary.

Set in 1932 Mississippi, Sinners follows twin brothers Smoke and Stack Moore (both portrayed by Michael B. Jordan), World War I veterans and former Chicago gangsters, who return to their hometown of Clarksdale to open a juke joint. Their dream of creating a safe haven for Black culture and music is threatened by the emergence of a vampire clan led by the enigmatic Remmick (Jack O'Connell).

As supernatural forces collide with the harsh realities of Jim Crow-era racism, the brothers must confront their past and fight for their community's survival. The film masterfully weaves themes of redemption, cultural identity, and the transformative power of music, all set against a backdrop of haunting horror and historical resonance.
