His mastery of the versatile, powerful percussion instrument known as the Darbuka and Middle Eastern percussion has given him the honor of performing and recording with some of the world’s most celebrated artists.
In 2005, Amir collaborated with music legend Stevie Wonder and later Amir was invited to tour with him in 2010.
He appeared on stage with Sting and Cheb Mami at the Super Bowl in 2001, performing in front of 200 million audience.
Amir toured with Sting in 2001.
In 2000 Amir worked with Michael Bolton for his studio album.
In 1998 Amir perform with Michael Sambello.

His distinctive drumming style is featured on many blockbuster movie Soundtracks such as: The Dictator, Green Zone, Prince of Persia, Body of Lies, The Kingdom, Syriana, Hulk, The Scorpion King, Black Hawk Down, The Ten Commandments, The Little Traitor, The keeper.

Amir has worked with the finest artists in various Middle Eastern musical genres including: Tameer Hussain, Ragheb Alama, Dina Hayek, Ramy Ayach, Moein Sherif, Hakim, Hisham El Hajj, Ehab Toufic, Adam, Waled Towfic, Wadih Morad, Marwan El Shami, Anwar El Amir, Hadi Aswad, Shadi Jamil and more.

Amir has also worked with the finest Persian singers such as:
Googoosh, Benyamin, Mansour, Andy, Lelya, Shohreh Solati, Shahram Solati, and many more.
