For this baby dragon, I'll show you my a skin-on-a-structure technique. The bulk of the sculpture is built with common household trash. That's locked together with paper mache, then covered that with a layer of paper-based air dry clay.
With this technique, you can use structural materials to build the structure of your project, then sculpt the details on top. This allows for structurally strong sculptures that make economical use of your supplies!
