I was inspired to create my first leaf sculpture by the leaves of the plants in the garden around it, including tulip poplar, aspen, azalea, red oak, sassafras, catalpa, horse chestnut, Japanese maple, raywood ash, red maple, red bud and ginko. I've added more types in subsequent sculptures, but this is where it began...
