Rapper K’naan charged with sexual assault

Rapper K'naan, who is best known for his 2009 hit Wavin’ Flag, is alleged to have sexually assaulted someone between July 16 and July 17 in 2010, according to his charge sheet. On those dates, the artist was in Quebec City to perform during the Festival d'été de Québec. The case was in court on Thursday morning, though K’naan, whose real name is Keinan Abdi Warsame, wasn’t there for the proceedings.
