An Amritsar-based artist has created a seven-foot acrylic portrait of President Vladimir Putin, spending 13 days on the artwork and planning to courier it directly to the Russian president’s office. Putin arrives in New Delhi on December 4 for a two-day summit at a time when India faces U.S. tariff pressure over Russian oil purchases.

The annual summit is set to focus on trade, energy cooperation and defence ties, underscoring India’s effort to reassert strategic autonomy amid shifting global power rivalries.
