This is one of my favorite tricks to give my images a little pop at the end of my edit. Essentially, you're adding a heavy dose of micro-contrast by doing a very aggressive sharpening, and then dialing it back with the opacity slider. The result is images that have a bit more depth, detail, and pop.
Even if you don't know how to use Photoshop, this technique is straightforward to apply and doesn't require any advanced knowledge. Simply load your image into Photoshop, follow the steps outlined in this video, and then save the image back to wherever you'd like to continue your edit. This is typically one of the last things I do to my images before saving, so you can always do this at the end of your edit.
