West End Blues: A Sacramento Jazzstory returns to the Sacramento History Museum on September 11th, at 6pm! The next installment of this powerful and immersive jazz experience will have you tapping your toes. This ongoing series features new songs, updated multimedia visuals, and a deeper look into Sacramento’s vibrant West End — once the heart of the city’s jazz and cultural scene.

Performed by the dynamic Harley White Jr. Orchestra, each show in the series will highlight different eras of Sacramento’s jazz history, with new music and visuals added each time as the story progresses through the years. Whether you’re returning or attending for the first time, every show offers something fresh.

In this video, Jared letterpress printed cards as souvenirs for those who attend the event. You can also pick up a copy from the front desk beforehand if you mention this video! The image was printed from an electrotype, made in the 1890s, from the Lewis Winter Collection. Below the text is some music notes. Over 100 copies were printed on this press run with blue rubber base ink using a 4x6 Golding Official No. 2 tabletop printing press.
