Grafly gave us 37 years of educational brilliance. He led by example. Charles Grafly deserves our respect and admiration for instilling, in this country's creative fabric, an uncompromising attention to quality, cultural & aesthetic individualism, a unique tenor of visionary instruction, as well as for infusing learned-craftsmanship into the instructors and sculptors who followed him. Grafly was tragically lost to history way too soon, but maybe we can start remembering him again.
