In the last 24 hours, Pakistan’s political scene has seen a storm of activity — backchannel contacts, phone calls, and quiet manoeuvres.
Chief Minister Sohail Afridi has reached out to opposition leaders, including Maulana Fazlur Rehman, who congratulated him and assured cooperation on provincial matters. A grand jirga is now being planned to include all political parties under the Provincial Assembly’s in-house committee.

Meanwhile, journalist Muneeb Farooq warns of “shocks” expected for the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government — possibly even disqualification moves against key figures.
At the same time, Fawad Chaudhry revealed that certain officials leaked news of meetings between PTI and the establishment out of fear:

“I’m 100% with Imran Khan — if I wasn’t, I’d be a minister today.”

He confirmed that discussions are underway between PTI, government officials, and the establishment to lower the political temperature — a possible start of reconciliation?

In Punjab, tensions erupted between Hamza Shahbaz and Maryam Nawaz. According to senior crime reporter Ahmed Faraz, Hamza told Maryam to “act according to the law” in a case — to which she replied, “Don’t shout,” and ended the call. Reports now suggest that over 1,000 people have been in police encounters under the current Punjab government — exceeding even previous records.

Amid all this, Aalim Khan has ignited a new debate: the creation of new provinces.
He proposed dividing Punjab, Sindh, KP, and Balochistan into three administrative regions each — North, Central, and South — to improve governance. But critics warn it could open a new political fault line instead of bringing unity.

And finally, from Islamabad High Court, shocking claims have surfaced: reporter Waseem Malik alleges that verdicts are being negotiated for money, and CCTV cameras were removed after a judge raised concerns.

These aren’t isolated headlines — they mark a major shift in Pakistan’s political balance.
Power is moving, alliances are reshaping, and new narratives are being built in real time.
