Peter began playing at age four and has since appeared on more than 600 recordings, earned two Grammy Awards, and received an Honorary Doctorate from Berklee College of Music. His career includes work with icons like Freddie Hubbard, Chick Corea, Jaco Pastorius, Weather Report, Steely Dan, Joni Mitchell, Pat Metheny, John Scofield and many others. His drumming is also featured in major films including La La Land, The Secret Life of Pets, and the Austin Powers series.
