Tourists and locals are gawking at the new public art installation in front of the Rowan Hotel in Palm Springs in California where a newly redeveloped downtown, now houses a stainless steel sculpture by German artist Julian Voss-Andreae, titled “Isabelle”. The sculpture creates a visual illusion that is very much part of Andreae’s art aesthetic.

Palm Springs Art Museum has a new installation in the lot across from its main campus. Artist Gonzalo Lebrija's "History of Suspended Time (A monument for the impossible)" features a car suspended over a pool of liquid, seeming as if it is frozen in time, according to the museum.

Forever Marilyn is a 26-foot tall, 24,000-pound monumental sculpture created by sculptor Seward Johnson with stainless steel and aluminum. The statue depicts Marilyn Monroe in an iconic billowing-dress-in-the-air scene from the 1955 film “The Seven Year Itch”. The statue was first brought to Palm Springs in 2012 as a rental for 26 months and then moved to New Jersey in 2014. It was brought back to Palm Springs in 2021 and is now a permanent fixture in the city.
