Painting in Adobe Medium. Adobe Medium Isn't just about sculpting, it’s a fully fledged painting program and painted models can be exported along with the model and used in other programs like zbrush and blender. It is a fairly limited toolset when compared to something like substance painter or Mari so there are no layers or alpha brushes but the ability to paint on your model is still very useful.
When you have finished your model and painted it you can export it as an OBJ or fbx file format and that carries the colour along with the geometry. When you import it into your other programs you can then use that Vertex painting data and convert it to a texture map and use it as you would normally. It can sometimes help if you're going to paint a much more complex texture map because it gives you the ability to layout where you would like everything on your model.
Virtual reality sculpting is evolving at such a pace it is sometimes hard to keep up. Adobe Medium VR gives you some rudimentary painting abilities and I am sure it is going to evolve into a much more complex set of tools and it will eventually be linked with Substance Painter and Substance Designer when Adobe embeds it into that family.

Digital sculpting is well established these days with programs like ZBrush, 3DCoat, Blender and more recently in VR with apps like Adobe Medium. There are now some amazing solutions that allow you to sculpt on an Ipad Pro with an Apple Pencil.
