All my favourite electronic musicians make breakbeat house and garage inspired drums, so i decided to study what’s so cool about them. We’re talking about artists like Ross from Friends, Overmono, Bicep, Barry Can’t Swim, Burial, Four Tet and many others. We break the drum sounds into lows mids and highs, and figure out that alternating them in swung 16th notes is what makes things really interesting.
